Premium Beautiful, The Waist Nipper Effect (Updated)

Memang kalau corset, no doubt it's for the ladies. Thing is, Premium Beautiful ain't one of those typical corset you have in the market. It's the BEST of the BEST. I'm talkin bout The No. 1. Numero Uno. The Alpha Male, The corset leader and pioneer.

So what's so good about this piece of cloth? Seriously? Why would anyone would wear some piece of clothing stuck to your skin for hours?!

What's the result? A hole in my wallet for 6,000.

(Now, these are my experiences, I won't be entertaining hate comments from slimming centre lovers out there aight. You have your love, I have mine. The world is just is...).

What I'm trying to say is that, Premium Beautiful is a smarter investment. No additional/hidden costs. The Lifetime Warranty, sets you for life. What else to worry? Name one other health product that has this same offer? Go ahead... google it.

But just take max 5 mins and then get back to my story aight? So, you do find a couple other products maybe... but what differences did you notice? What key features did you find out? Whatever that may be..., list them out and divide them into pros & cons.

The Waist Nipper is one of the three pieces that makes up a Premium Beautiful set. And it's the piece that can be worn by anybody not just the ladies. If you don't already 'get it' from the name. Waist nipper is the part where you wear it at your waist and nip it. Kinda like the show 'Niptuck'.

Huh? apa la merepek ni! Just think about it. WE tend to like to short cuts and quicker way of doing things. Betul tak? Yela, dah kalau boleh cepat, nape nak lambat???!!!

Elelee... tipu la kalau TAK suka tips & tricks - a way around the standard method of doing things. Manusia sentiasa dalam proses inovation, improvising where they deemed fit. Kalau dulu naik tangga, then we have elevators. Tapi tak cukup! then we have escalators!... Get my point? kalau tak, no point reading on... better read some other useful blog posts aight?

Moving on, now, what I'm about to say may not go so well with some people. I repeat this again. What I am about to write you may or may not agree to it. But I don't care, cause it's the truth. No bull-kerap!

Tips...

1. Premium Beautiful MUST be worn a MINIMUM 8 hours a day.

2. Premium Beautiful MUST be hand washed. - No washing machine, dry clean, war machine... (sape dah tgk Iron Man 2 bolela gelak subsidi).

3. Premium Beautiful MUST be washed using liquid soap, Dynamo, Softlan, Fab, etc... NOT Clorox or any kind of bleach!

4. Premium Beautiful MUST be dried indoors/under a fan/dab with a towel etc... Whatever way DO NOT dry in the Sun.

5. Premium Beautiful MUST be worn COMPLETE FULL SET for women. Tak bole bra saja or girdle saja... waist nipper saja ok.

6. Premium Beautiful MESTI pakai consistently nak dapat results. Kejap pakai kejap tak, alamatnya berbulu la baru nampak result. Now you see, now you don't doesn't work, it ain't Chipsmore everybody!

Tricks...

1. Drink plenty of plain water. (If you have Bio-Aura water filter then better!). No explanation needed here. Our badan needs enough water to function. Plus you should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water everyday. P.B helps rid our body of toxins, so some wearers will feel they need to ur-inate(lol...) more often. Hence having enough water helps you get rid of more toxins faster, better.

2. Wash your P.B once in every 2 days. This helps to clean P.B of toxins from your body. P.B absorbs your sweat which carry toxins. Washing helps clean P.B and ultimately perform better.

3. After washing, dab your P.B using a towel to help it dry faster and leave it under a fan. Better if you have air-conditioning turned on. It should dry after a few hours. If it doesn't, switch the fan on or get a new fan.

4. Take body measurements before and after using P.B this helps you notice the changes in body measurement accurately. Taking pictures also helps. Most phones today have a built in camera. It's not that hard people!

5. Be patient, 1st time wearers of P.B may not be used to the feeling of a full body undergarment for the first few days or even weeks. Like a lot of things, it takes time to get used to it.

6. Don't expect miracles! P.B ain't a miracle worker. Wearing P.B doesn't protect you from H1N1 or AIDS. It assists your body's immune system and promotes better health NOT IMMUNITY or IMMORTALITY!

7. If wearing P.B is unbearable, please stop using it and don't force yourself unto something you don't like. Seek professional medical help for whatever health conditions you might have. P.B doesn't replace the role of Doctors.

Haritu, balik sempat tengok TV jap nak rileks. Kebetulan, "So You Think You Can Dance" tatau season mana tengah ada. Masa tu tunjuk la this group buat Robot dance. Awesome! I dunno bout you guys, but for me? memang suka tengok "robot" dance. Best thing is about the music is that they usually play a good selection of music! The last time I saw a robot dance video was this one below:-

Lagu memang catchy gile and the rest, they say is history, the music "Nobody by Wonder Girls" jadi hit kat radio-radio and macam biasa get over played!!!

But bila tengok SYTYCD tu they featured this group called "Remote Kontrol". Apa yang menarik was that the short guy, Bryan Gaynor nih ada hidap sakit skoliosis. Which a condition yg spine bengkok...

Early December, my lovely wife got up on to a stage with a crowd of 10,000 spectators watching on as she receives her highest achievement in the Business.

Crown Diamond Manager.

She looked awesome. Hands down. The most beautiful and best dressed for that night!

Ok, maybe I'm a bit biased but she does look amazing.

Hmm, kenapa tiba-tiba topik serious ni Rahzz? Actually, haritu pergi ceramah agama. Yes, pergi jugak ceramah agama ye. Alhamdulillah syukur, best, banyak ilmu bermanfaat. Dalam banyak-banyak ilmu yang dikongsi haritu, ada disentuh tentang perkataan "sembahyang" dan nasihat penceramah ialah kalau boleh JANGAN guna lagi perkataan tersebut untuk maksudkan solat kita dengan Allah s.w.t.

Kenapa?

Dulu, saya pernah dengar pasal topik ni. Tapi tak ingat sebab apa tak sesuai kita gunakan. Bila penceramah tersebut beri penjelasan, barulah saya paham. Rupa-rupanya...,

Zaman dulu-dulu dalam bahasa melayu, tidak ada perkataan menyembah Allah. Asal usul kita dahulu semua beragama Hindu. Dan didalam agama Hindu (Bali, Indonesia) ada tuhan mereka beri nama Hyang.

In short, the word "sembahyang" digunakan untuk maksudkan sembah + hyang = sembahyang. Lagipun solat ialah perkataan Arab yang memang khas untuk maksudkan mendirikan ibadah khas untuk Allah.

I tak nak tulis panjang, I'm no expert. Boleh buat rujukan lanjut sendiri. Yang penting gunakan perkataan solat. Spread the awareness, and insya-Allah minta dari Allah pengampunan sentiasa.

Wow! what a challenging week and so many to share. Last weekend on Sunday, I had a short trip to Melaka, business not personal. Me? I'm just the driver =P. Melaka was awesome, was a nice change of view from the usual KL. Saturday on the other hand spent quality time with the kids! Woke up early and brought them out for some Toys R 'Fun' session @Empire.

Started my morning, with breakfast @My Toast Kopitiam. Always passed by this place @Gardens Midvalley but never took the chance to try the food until today. The few people before me all went for the 'My Toast set' caused it comprised of Kopi, set of half boiled eggs and kaya butter toast. But, I wanted to try the 'French Toast' caused it looked simply irresistable.

Ze french toast, Mmm... very very good!

Kopi, is kinda ok, I've tasted better but ok...

There was a girl who sat opposite me who was into photography and

we chatted about cameras for a few minutes, cool!

For lunch, we went to Gardens Food Court instead of the usual Midvalley food court. Took my chance to try the Pineapple fried rice as I saw many people eating it and was recommended by a colleague of mine. My verdict? Good, but slightly on the pricey side.

Hariz was just after his 1 year old birthday. It feels just like yesterday. Time flies... My sister Marlina was still with us at that time. I miss her a lot. To anyone who have lost a loved one. Actually, Mr. Warren masa remaja, dia amek peluang pergi kursus "public speaking" oleh Dale Carnegie. Dia cakap itu adalah pelaburan paling bermakna yang dia pernah buat. Mr. Warren ni jugak suka baca buku "How To Win Friends & Influence People" berulang-ulang kali. So kalau nak berjaya, rajin-rajin la bercakap. Tapi nak cakap pun ada cara. The best is, just tiru bulat-bulat cara the best speakers. Jangan la plak tiru cara Debat Nasional dengan bahasa baku tuh!

Pesanan paling penting bila bercakap, ialah bercakap dengan yakin. Public speaking pun tak semestinya cakap depan ramai orang. Cakap dengan member-member pun kalau tak kena cara, orang tak suka punya. Betul tak?

Water Filter Bagus

Kotor tak hengat!. Ni sume yang ditapis oleh the 1st filter. BAYANGKAN kalau takde?!!!

Dulu dah beli satu, pastu masa rumah renovate kena curik!. Tension-tension. Tapi takpe beli satu lagi coz dulu rumah takde water filter langsung. Selalu kena sakit tekak, anak-anak pun kadang-kadang kena cirit-birit. Coz rumah sewa je. Masa tu tak pikir nak install water filter yang mahal. Guna yang simple je.

Saiz kecik & praktikal. Filter air sebelum kita minum.

Tapi bila orang recommend pakai water filter bio-aura skeptical la skit. Anak sulung Hariz dulu ada scalp problem. Pakai shampoo mahal, Mothercare and brape banyak brand pun tak hilang gak. Last-last diaorang suruh basuh kepala budak tu ngan air dari water filter.

Ni sebulan punya kotoran. Tiap-tiap bulan sama kotor x 12 setahun. Mau satu baldi

Manela tau, tapi cuba je. Alhamdulillah, lepas try mandi ngan air water filter tu, scalp problem pun hilang! Believe it or not. Hariz ni memang ada skin problem. Dia lactose intolerant, as in budak yang tak boleh minum susu. Dulu ada skali ter-bagi minum Nestle milk ape tah, terus ada alergic reaction. Muka bengkak, mata jadi sepet! LOL. Tapi kesian tengok.

Now buat susu anak guna direct from pipe. Just campur air panas je. Yang awesome pasal this water filter is that dia tapis air jadi air ber-alkali. I read somewhere yang air RO tak berapa bagus coz tahap tapis dia sampai air tu hilang all the minerals. Kira jadi macam air suling. Takde benefits.

Tapi one thing, is kena service the water filter at least once a month. Tengok tahap air kat kawasan tu macam mana jugak. Ada kes kat Sabah, water filter kena cuci every week coz air kotor sangat. Kalau tak, alamatnya buah pinggang kita la yang jadi sampah. Mana tak banyak kes buah pinggang rosak, kes batu dalam pundi kencing dan macam-macam lagi masalah. Huhu

So korang guna ada guna water filter tak? Kalau nak, aku bole recommendkan

Matahari terbit di Timur Malaysia

Haritu pergi Terengganu nak melebarkan biznes di sana. Amek flight Air Asia kul 7 pagi tu. Kena bangun kul 4... hadoi. Ngantuk gile. Tapi selepas breakfast McD dalam flight (tatau plak tak bole outside food!) rasa ok skit. Memang sib baik naik flight, kalau alamat drive ke Terengganu sana, confirm sampai tengahari and badan pun letih!. Kitaorang tak banyak berjalan. Banyak duduk meja sembang-sembang. Alhamdulillah. Ok deal smooth. Gambar yang amek tu pun sambil-sambilan je.

Bag baru untuk laptop & camera

Semalam, I ikut Mrs. Rahzz pergi meeting and lately bile ikut, I prefer bawak laptop coz then I ada masa selit update blog, surf facebook, twitter, edit-edit gambar, etc. Coz, kat rumah sibuk layan anak-anak je. Which is good right?! See, kalau kat rumah, Hariz & Haikal berebut attention! Ahaha. Sampai Haikal da expert sebut "ayayayayaya..." I think nak attention punya psal!!!

I like this one very much, tapi not for camera or laptop.

Then I ter-sedar, Mrs. Rahzz NOT so keen on me bringing the laptop everytime. "Takyah la bawak" or "Bawak laptop ke???". Baru la ku paham. Korek-korek rupa-rupanya dia tak suka ngan beg yang ada skang. Dia cakap I look like macam budak kolej. Hmmm, hmmm...???.

So far, my 1st choice is this one coz backpack

So now I'm in the process of looking for a new bag. One yang boleh bubuh laptop and use for camera. I know yang "femes" and cool is like THE Crumpler bag. So I think now, ada alasan boleh beli...

Demm, boleh masuk laptop, camera, lenses and flash. Mesti berat gile caci

Susah gak actually nak cari other brands. Any suggestions? I think crumpler nih at least ada style skit. Some bags I see macam tak se-cool crumpler. Most standard design and plain color Black. Boring dowh. =P

This one pun agak awesomeness. Tapi problem is sling bag, takut sakit bahu lama2. maklumla da tua.

Why I kena pilih for camera & laptop???. Simple..., laptop kalau masa kat and in around Malaysia and camera mode bile nak travel2 nanti. So beg ni ada la dual purpose. Baru berbaloy!

To me, laptop usage is first, coz right now my camera pun Lumix, GF1 je. Dan lens pun sebijik. Tapi insya-Allah bila dapat camera baru, Muahaha, at least ada casing to go with it!

Raya da lama habis, tapi masa Raya tahun ni. I didn't feel like updating blog at that time. Ntah, masa tu tengah focus mende lain. Actually masa bulan puasa baru je beli flash, Canon Speedlite 270ex. Performance? nice, for a compact flash. Thing is, aku pun tak guna camera DSLR. So I needed a small external flash yang boleh bounce = Canon Speedlite 270ex. Harga around RM500.

Canon Speedlite 270 EX. Surprisingly can fit with my GF1.

Results? Gambar makin cun. coz built-in Flash for GF1 tak cukup power. Kalau direct flash nanti very harsh results. So masa amek gambar best gile. Walaupun reloading time agak slow. around 3-4 seconds, tapi I don't mind...

I dunno bout you guys, but lately I've been hearing lots of kes curah asid kat bini. Apa kes nih??? Ni memang kes mental ke ape? 2-3 Hari lepas cerita pasal laki tak puas hati kat bini punya masakan, habis kesian bini tu kena belasah. Tak cukup dengan belasah, cukur kepala botak, dikencing plak kat muka bini.

Kes terbaru harini, ada perempuan umur 21 tahun kena simbah asid bila kena reject. Ni pun keje bodoh. Aku harap sangat polis dapat tangkap mamat bangang camnie. Aku rasa hukuman setimpal ialah dengan simbah asid kat muka laki bangang-bangang camnie.

Sakit hati doh, dengar cerita macam nie. Harap laki-laki kat luar sana sedarlah, balasan Allah menanti! Itu PASTI!!!

I think it's about time, we start looking into a family car. Yelah, bukan la kata family members dah ramai, tapi sejak ada anak 2 orang and bibik seorang, kira ok la kalau nak consider kereta besar coz nanti nak travel mana, jadi selesa la skit.

Me & Mrs. Rahzz ada usha-usha antara 2 kereta nih. Estima vs. Stream. Beza harga takdela ketara tapi yang obvious is the fact that Estima mesti recond. Stream pulak brand NEW. Advantage kat Stream coz benefits like servicing and 2nd hand value etc. In terms of design, I suka Stream, tapi Mrs. Rahzz suka Estima.

Dulu masa baru-baru keje, time tu, DSLR tengah hot, ramai member yang beli and was into photography. Me?, time tu tengah sibuk kumpul duit nak kahwin! LOL. So menengok jela. I stick with compact cameras for awhile. Tapi Alhamdulillah, selepas kahwin banyak peluang pergi overseas untuk keje and dapat melancong FREE!

So in early 2010, I invested in Lumix GF1 (pics above). Camera ni medium size, yela, kalau DSLR consider besar, and compact cameras consider kecik. So just nice! plus it's able to take DSLR quality pics thanks to its larger sensor size. Also video recording is in HD. Sweet!

Weather kat Switzerland masa sebelum nak pergi predicted hujan renyai2. Memang dah diberitahu awal-awal untuk siap bawak payung. Tapi from previous experience boleh agak that hujan kat overseas nih tak macam hujan lebat kat Malaysia. The rain tu is more like a mist, macam kat sesetengah kedai mamak yang pasang kipas gedabak besar ngan air pancut tuh... So kira ok.

Alhamdulillah, selamat pergi dan balik dari Switzerland awal bulan Oktober aritu. Memang tak pernah terbayang dapat pergi ke sana. Apa lagi bila pergi bercuti dengan member2 lagi syok tak hengat!. I consider myself ni macam junior "travel" photographer, dulu memang minat amek2 gambar ni, tapi sebab bajet yg tak cukup, guna camera Canon Ixus je. Since early this year dah upgrade guna Lumix GF1. Puas hati, tapi tak cukup lagi!

Water dispute may result in higher price for consumers

THE cost of water to consumers could potentially go up if the water treatment plant for the transfer of water from Pahang is built in that state, according to those crunching the numbers.

And the ones who have to bear the cost will be consumers in the Klang Valley.

Even if it is a one or two sen rise per cu m of water it can set consumers back in their monthly bills by a few ringgit.

Clean water should be made available to all at reasonable prices.

Consumers in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya depend totally on Selangor for their water supply.

The question is, should consumers be subject to higher prices because the Selangor government and the Federal Government cannot agree on issues relating to water in the state?

The story of water has turned murky in the state.

The Government, in its bid to consolidate the water sector, had set up Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) to buy over all the water assets in Peninsular Malaysia and Labuan.

PAAB has been successful in some states but it faces a stumbling block in Selangor.

The water industry in Selangor is fragmented; there are several concession holders.

Offers have been made but to the concession holders, the offers are not compelling enough for them to part with their assets.

They are holding out for better terms.

But it is a stalemate where the concession holders are concerned.

That is one issue.

The other is that of the treatment plant.

The Klang Valley is going to face water shortages in the years to come and Pahang is an ideal source of water.

For that, an RM8bil tunnel is being built to transfer water from Pahang to the folks in the Klang Valley.

Works are in progress.

The ideal location for the water treatment plant is Selangor.

The issue here is that the state is not giving its approval to the Federal Government so that the treatment plant can be built.

The Federal Government wants to hurry things up, but the state says, “Take a ticket and wait for your number to be called.’’

If the state government does not act fast enough it will face a water crisis in 2014 and that means you can forget about your luxury baths three times a day.

Water will be rationed.

The state denies this will happen and the bickering continues.

Amid this, Pahang has offered land at its border with Selangor for the plant to be built.

Bravo to Pahang. It resolves one issue but not all as the plant on Pahang land could potentially mean higher costs given the distance and other logistical considerations.

Whatever the decision, consumers should not be held ransom by any one party.

Salam, lama tak tulis camnie... haha, anyways Alhamdulillah masih lagi panjang umur dan sihat tubuh badan untuk berkongsi. We all know Ramadhan yang penuh berkat akan bermula malam ini...

I figured I'd share, how "I think" I can maximize my Ramadhan this year. (Untuk makluman pembaca, I'm not alim ulamak nor an Ustaz, just an average joe trying to make a livin) So kalau nak yang lagi tepat better rujuk pakar-pakar agama? Boleh? Good. Let's start...

Memang nak beribadah ada banyak cara. To me, why not start with yang simple-simple, then move on to intermediate then advance. Just seems more natural.

I mean bukan nak kata apa, tapi sometimes, mungkin ada some people, bila bulan puasa aim for the high. What I mean is that, yang simple-simple tak pandang tapi nak buat tarawih 21 rakaat, nak khatam Al-Quran saja.

Bukan tak bole, nak pasang niat tu bagus tapi tepuk dada tanya iman. Kalau memang rasa boleh, by all means go ahead.

For me, I want to be smart. Tanggungjawab ada. Kerja ada, Biznes ada, anak bini ada, semua perlu diberi perhatian dan kadar yang sepatutnya.

So maximizing peluang pada...

1. Sahur

- I know kadang-kadang susah nak bangun, tapi Sahur menambah lagi 'feel' berpuasa. Tak sahur tak sama! believe me.

2. Baca doa-doa harian.

- Yes, baca doa makan, doa tidur, doa keluar rumah, doa pakai baju, doa naik kenderaan, apa-apa sahaja yang boleh.

3. Baca bismillah

- In everything you do whenever you remember.

4. Bagi salam sesama Islam!

- Ni kadang-kadang liat nak keluar tapi kalau

5. Sedekah

- It doesn't have to be just money. It could your unwanted stuff. Bagi kat orang-orang yang memerlukan. Rumah anak yatim for example. Rumah orang tua.

6. Read

- Yes reading. Dalam ramadhan ni, apa salahnya baca blog, website atau apa-apa material yang menambahkan ilmu agama. Ilmu-ilmu yang positif and so on

7. Share

- Spread what you know, but check your sources! people. One thing about sharing is sometimes that people share without checking the sources. I spent my after office hours by attending a motivational talk. Simple talk about how business explodes during Ramadhan. Memang betul pun. Kadang-kadang saying the obvious but when said it at the right time and by the right person can come as something "Genius!" Aha! moments...

Last few weeks I was doing a video for my wife's business presentation. So tengah-tengah cuba cari lagu-lagu yang best kat youtube. (fyi, kitaorg suka lagu Revolusi by Bunkface. It's fast, snappy and lirik goes.) Anyways, masa tengah cari-cari lagu Bunkface. I bumped into Altimet.

This guy, I remember I nampak he performed kat Anugerah Juara Lagu, he wore this suit and glasses, he came on stage. Started shouting Syukur! Syukur! Syukur!... memang masa tu tergelak dowh... tapi his image stuck on my mind. Then when on youtube I saw the link to his video and started watching...

I have to say I'm amazed. Video clip is cool and the song catchy!

Then after browsing more videos I bumped into Butterfingers. Band ni masa I sekolah menengah dulu I minat gile, it's the first Malaysian rock band yang I betul-betul minat. I bought their original kaset 1.2 Milligrams. Haha, I love that kaset to bits. Listen to it for a long time, masa masuk Uni teringat balik, pg la torrent download plak mp3. pastu dah lama tak dengar berita psal butterfingers... until few weeks back. I saw this!...

Semalam, masa tea break ngan my friend, we sat down and talked about bit of biznes. He told me he wanted to start his own biz and was asking himself out loud "Macam mana eh?" Pung pang pung pang I pun bagitau dia apa yang I belajar in my biz that I've been doing for the last a year and a half.

1. Bertindak

I told him "ko bole pikir macam-macam idea, idea yang power GILE pun tapi kalau takde tindakan tak guna. Dia cakap dia nak buat online, pastu tanya pasal cane nak buat website etc2... . I told him simply. Ko buat je blog FREE dulu (coz he was thinking of getting a domain). I gave him this simple rule. BUAT DULU, bila hit a problem then u solve that problem. Hit another problem solve that problem plak...

Kalau tak tau buat blog, belajar cane nak buat. * Commit at least an hour a day for your biznes. bila da buat blog then belajar cane nak edit, update etc and step-by-step.

after that baru comes the next step which is

2. Rujuk

Bila ada problem, rujuk pada orang-orang yang pakar buat biznes yang SAMA atau dekat-dekat sama. Contoh: Bila ada masalah agama, silalah rujuk Uztaz. Bila ada masalah kesihatan, rujuk la Doktor. Walaupun Doktor, bila semakin serious problem, maka semakin 'expert' la pakar yang kena rujuk... tak guna rujuk masalah kereta dengan tukang masak. get it?

3. Ilmu

This is the key ingredient. ILMU sentiasa ada. kalau for me dalam IT some certs requires you to renew your license every few years. So dalam biznes pun sama, kalau ilmu tak di 'update' atau re-register over and over again maka akan tumpul fikiran dan kekuatan.

I told my friend that dalam my biznes - Ilmu + Bertindak + Rujuk = Kejayaan.

I know there are tonnes of books out there talking about topics like this. But just wanted to share. Hopefully yang ada nak tergerak buat biznes bole buat. Don't let too many things complicate your journey to become and entrepreneur.

BUAT je and try and keep on improving. It's WAAAAY better than to just think and plan and think and plan and think and plan and postpone sampai bila pun tak jadi.

I'm pretty sure you can use this formulasi in many other aspects in life. Walaupun kitaorang takde la cakap macam exactly di atas tapi jist of the conversation is lebey kurang.

Some people just don't get it. So full of themselves and their new found glory that they beget issues belittle other people and often stir drama just for the sake of CONTROL... some people feel the need to ALWAYS WIN and can't accept tolerance or understand from other people's point of view.

I pity these people. They're sour and can't see other people being happy. If they're unhappy, they want to drag the whole world to being miserable and if they ARE happy they want it to be their exclusive right and that they're the only ONE that brought themselves upon that happiness... everybody else was busy bringing them down...

I guess they forgot that I'm one sixteenth Italian. If you touch my family, I will make you swim with the fishes...

There's no sharing with these kinds of people. Appearing to be so tough on the outside but actually they're so sensitive that even raising your voice can cause them discomfort...

6 sebab kenapa perlu abdikan diri kepada Allah s.w.t

Ketika rasulullah mengembala kambing, tidak jauh daripadanya ada sekumpulan remaja sedang melepak, berborak dan ketawa.

Tiba-tiba seorang lelaki tua bernama Thulaihah al-Aamidi datang bertanyakan Rasulullah: "Wahai Muhammad! Kenapa kamu tidak bermain-main dan lepak seperti remaja di sana itu?" Rasulullah dengan tegas menjawab: "Saya diciptakan bukan untuk itu."

Jawapan Rasulullah itu memberitahu kita, remaja berhibur bukan satu kesalahan malah kadangkala ia diperlukan. Tetapi hiburan sehingga melalaikan itu merosakkan.

Di sebalik jawapan Nabi yang agung itu ada mesej penting iaitu hidup ini untuk beribadah kepada Allah. Kadang kala ada orang melepak sehingga lupa menunaikan solat.

Mereka bermain bola di waktu petang tanpa perasaan malu ketika azan berkumandang, Sudahlah begitu, padang bola pula sebelah masjid.

Haiwan ternakan seperti kambing lembu pun balik ke kandang tetapi sesetengah kita kadangkala asyik berborak dan bergelak ketawa di tepi selekoh. Inilah yang dilarang Nabi.

Waktu kerja ada, waktu rehat ada, masa tidur ada, masa makan ada, masa main ada, tetapi sayang waktu ibadat tidak dimasukkan dalam jadual.

Kadang kala ada remaja bertanya, kenapa perlu beribadah? Sibuk. Kalau sempat buatlah, jika tidak sempat qada saja.

Justeru, remaja perlu memahami mengapa dan alasan mengapa kita beribadah. Di sana ada enam alasan kenapa kita mesti mengabdikan diri kepada Allah.

Jika kita memahami enam perkara ini, semangat ibadat kita tidak akan luntur walau sesibuk mana sekalipun kita.

* Pertama,

Tujuan kita dicipta Allah adalah untuk beribadah kepada-Nya. Firman Allah dalam Surah Az-Zariyaat ayat 56 yang bermaksud: "Aku tidak ciptakan jin dan manusia melainkan supaya beribadah kepadaku."

Jika tugas lain kita boleh ingat dan prihatin, maka tugas ibadah lebih utama lagi.

* Kedua,

Kita wajib beribadat sebagai tanda syukur kepada-Nya, atas hikmat yang terlalu banyak. Tidak mampu kita menghitungnya. Terlalu banyak nikmat, malah dapat percuma pula, sedangkan zaman sekarang tidak ada percuma, semuanya kena bayar.

Pada hujung bulan bil elektrik, bil telefon perlu dibayar, jika tidak dibayar kena potong. Kita dapat jantung percuma, paru-paru percuma dan jika kena bayar pasti hujung bulan malaikat bawa bil, tidak bayar kena potong. Kita yang tak beribadat, matilah

* Ketiga,

Wajib beribadat sebab kita sudah berjanji di alam roh. Firman Allah mengingatkan kita di dalam Surah al-A'raaf ayat 72 yang bermaksud: "... ketika Allah berfirman bukankah Aku ini Tuhanmu. Mereka menjawab bahkan betul."

* Keempat,

Kita wajib beribadat sebab antara tugas dan kewajipan rasul adalah mengajak manusia menyembah Allah dan menjauhkan taghut (kejahatan). Jika nabi yang sangat rapat dengan Allah pun tidak terlepas beribadat apa lagi kita.

Firman Allah yang bermaksud: "...dan sesungguhnya kami mengutus setiap umat itu rasul untuk menyeru sembahlah Allah dan jauhilah taghut." (Surah an-Nahl ayat 36).

* Kelima,

Kita mesti beribadat dan mengabdikan diri kepada Allah kerana Dia yang paling berkuasa. Allah yang mengatur kehidupan kita kerana itu tidak boleh kita leka dengan kerja lain, melupakan Allah, apatah lagi jika menyembah tuhan lain.

* Keenam,

Kita mesti mengabdikan diri kepada Allah kerana azab yang amat mengerikan menanti kita di akhirat. Allah amat murka kepada orang yang derhaka kepada-Nya. Al-Quran menyebut bagaimana orang yang mengikut nabi membuat pengakuan.

Ini terbukti dalam firman Allah yang bermaksud: "Katakanlah sesungguhnya aku amat takut, jika aku menderhakai Tuhanku akan azab hari kiamat." (Surah al-Anaam ayat 15).

Lately, duk sibuk, things at the office are picking up momentum. Issues timbul macam cendawan selepas hujan lebat yang melanda Singapore... har har har.

Tapi agak tensen, coz kadang weekends pun kena pergi ofis terchinta. Yes, cool ain't it? World cup sahaja tempat melepas geram. Germany vs. England, I went to Rasta to watch it my close friends. Ada alasan nak jerit kuat-kuat. Memang enjoy.

Anyways, dalam tengah sibuk kat ofis, saya TER-baca this post, about Khutbah online and thought, though I'm busy and have not updated my blog for a long time, I should at least share this. So here goes!

Khutbah Online

Umur pendek atau panjang tidak menjadi persoalan kerana akhirnya manusia pasti mati. Nabi, rasul iaitu manusia yang paling dekat dan menjadi kekasih Allah S.W.T pun tidak dapat lari daripada kematian, menghadapi alam barzakh dan hari penghakiman di padang Mahsyar.

Firman Allah bermaksud: "Di mana saja kamu berada, pasti mati mendatangi kamu, sekalipun kamu bersembunyi di atas mahligai atau benteng yang paling kuat." (Surah An-Nisaa' ayat 78).

Persoalan mati adalah kejadian paling hebat yang tidak dapat dielakkan. Apabila seseorang manusia mati, ia dikatakan kiamat kecil kerana roh keluar daripada jasad yang akan busuk dan kembali menjadi tanah.

Kubur atau alam barzakh tempat permulaan alam akhirat. Seperti mana kesukaran manusia menghadapi keperitan saat nazak kematian, jenazah juga sekali lagi menghadapi kesukaran seksaan kubur di alam barzakh.

Bagi jenazah yang beriman dan berbekalkan amal soleh, alam barzakh adalah suatu kerehatan yang damai. Tetapi bagi jenazah yang ingkar, sarat dengan beban dosa kerana melanggar perintah Allah S.W.T, alam barzakh adalah episod ngeri dipenuhi azab hingga datangnya hari kiamat

Pada akhir zaman ini, semakin kurang atau amat sedikit manusia yang bercakap mengenai kematian, alam barzakh dan Mahsyar kerana sibuk dengan kerjaya dan kelazatan kehidupan dunia.

Saidina Ali berkata: "Manusia tidur lena, apabila kematian tiba baru dia terjaga. Demikianlah orang yang tidak mengingati mati sentiasa dalam keadaan lalai atau bagaikan orang yang tertidur dia akan terkejut bila kematian datang secara mendadak." Kesibukan mencari keseronokan dunia punca manusia lalai mengingati mati dan membuat persediaan menghadapi kematian.

Persoalan perkara ghaib seperti kematian, alam barzakh, hari kiamat, syurga dan neraka adalah hak Allah S.W.T yang tidak boleh dicerobohi manusia atau malaikat. Islam menetapkan dasar akidah dan perkara ghaib bersandarkan dalil Al-Quran dan hadis sahih.

Dasar akidah bersumber qiyas, ilham manusia atau ramalan kosong seperti pengamal ajaran sesat adalah ditolak. Nabi dan malaikat hanya dapat mengetahui sesetengah perkara ghaib setakat yang diizinkan Allah S.W.T.

Kita sering bercakap mengenai kematian rakan. Apakah kematian itu menimbulkan keinsafan untuk kita membuat persiapan serta menyediakan bekalan mencukupi menghadapi kematian yang pasti?

Hadith:

Dari Anas bin Malik r.a, Nabi s.a.w bersabda: "Janganlah sekali-kali salah seorang daripada kamu mengharapkan kematian kerana suatu malapetaka yang menimpanya. Jika ia tidak dapat berbuat sesuatu (sudah puas berubat atau berikhtiar) maka hendaklah ia berdoa: "Wahai Tuhanku, hidupkanlah aku seandainya kehidupan itu lebih baik bagiku, tetapi matikanlah aku seandainya kematian itu lebih baik bagiku."

(Bukhari)

Huraian:

Sebagaimana maklum Islam menyuruh umatnya agar berusaha dan berikhtiar dalam apa jua perkara dan kesulitan yang dialami di samping berdoa memohon petunjuk dan pertolongan daripada Allah S.W.T

Hal ini kerana kehidupan itu adalah suatu ujian daripada Allah yang diberikan kepada setiap manusia demi menguji sejauh manakah keteguhan iman seseorang itu dan setakat manakah pergantungannya terhadap Allah.

Orang-orang yang beriman akan sentiasa bersabar dan tabah dalam dugaan ini dan sebaliknya pula bagi orang yang kurang imannya di mana hal yang demikian boleh memungkinkan seseorang itu menyalahkan takdir Allah hingga diri tersesat jauh dari jalan-Nya.

Oleh itu hendaklah kita sentiasa beringat bahawa setiap kesakitan yang dialami itu adalah suatu tanda kasih sayang Allah kepada hamba-hamba-Nya di mana jika seseorang itu berjaya mengatasinya iaitu tidak mengeluh dan sentiasa bersabar sambil berusaha dan berikhtiar, Allah akan memberinya ganjaran pahala yang amat besar.

Bukankah setiap penyakit itu ada ubatnya. Maka kita selaku hamba-hamba-Nya mesti yakin akan kebesaran kuasa Allah dan janji Allah serta tidak berputus asa. Hidup adalah suatu perjuangan. Bak kata pahlawan Melayu "Pantang menyerah sebelum ajal!"

Hadapi Tekanan Kecewa...

Pernahkah anda berdepan dengan rakan atau saudara anda yang kecewa? Kecewa dalam peperiksaan, pekerjaan, percintaan, perkahwinan dan berbagai kekecewaan lain.

Bagaimana agaknya reaksi mereka? Sedih adalah perkara biasa. Menangis juga adalah perkara biasa tetapi tidak boleh dibiarkan berlarutan kerana mampu mengundang masalah lain pula.

Menurut Perunding Psikologi Keluarga dan Guaman Syarie, Suzana Ghazali, kekecewaan melampau ini terjadi dalam perhubungan cinta atau perkahwinan.

Tindakan tersebut adalah kesan tekanan melampau yang dirasai oleh seseorang yang kecewa terhadap sesuatu.

''Perbuatan ini perlu dihentikan segera kerana jika dibiarkan, akan membawa padah bukan sahaja kepada insan yang kecewa sebaliknya kepada insan sekelilingnya juga.

''Perkara pertama yang perlu dilakukan ialah 'takluk' dan 'tandingi' mereka. Sudah pasti kita perlu bersikap lebih agresif. Jika insan kecewa tersebut menangis meraung-raung, pegang atau peluk dirinya agar dia rasa lebih tenang.

''Persoalkan pada dia apakah tindakan dirinya dengan meraung, kecewanya akan hilang? Jika dia putus cinta, persoalkan apakah dengan meraung, cintanya akan kembali bersatu? Kenapa perlu meraung sakitkan fikiran dan emosi sendiri kerana insan yang tidak menyayangi dirinya?

"Sebaliknya tanamkan dalam fikirannya, hidup tidak akan berakhir walau tanpa insan yang mengecewakan dirinya itu," katanya.

Tegas Suzana lagi, minta individu tersebug kenang kembali ibu bapa atau siapa sahaja insan tersayang lain yang ada di dalam hidupnya.

''Jelaskan padanya perasaan insan-insan tersayang itu jika melihat dia yang bersikap sedemikian? Sudah tentu mereka juga akan sedih dan kecewa.

"Apakah dia sanggup kecewakan orang yang betul-betul ikhlas menyayangi semata-mata kerana seorang insan penipu?"

Kata Suzana lagi, pada situasi tersebut kita mungkin perlu tinggikan sedikit suara.

Yang penting takluki dan tandingi emosinya kerana individu yang menangis dan meraung ini terlalu mengikut perasaan hingga tidak mampu memikirkan perkara lain kecuali kekecewaannya.

''Tugas dan peranan anda untuk membawa emosi dan perasaannya ke dunia nyata semula.

" Sama juga jika insan kecewa tersebut menjerit atau marah-marah. Tindakan tersebut adalah satu luahan kekecewaan. Ketika itu, perlu lawan emosi marah tersebut.

" Bukan marahkan sikapnya sebaliknya mengingatkan agar tidak marahkan orang lain yang tidak bersalah dan tidak ada kaitan dengan kekecewaannya.

''Paling penting, minta dia istighfar ingatkan Allah. Minta rakan anda itu ucapkan Allah, Allah, Allah berulang kali. Insya-Allah, dalam beberapa ketika sahaja, dia akan mula kembali tenteram," ujarnya.

Elakkan daripada membincangkan perkara yang mengecewakan tersebut jika dia belum bersedia.

Hingga tiba saat itu, setiap kali dia cuba luahkan kekecewaannya, minta dia bertenang dan jangan dikenang lagi kisah-kisah lama yang boleh melukakan lagi hatinya.

''Dalam situasi sebegini, elakkan daripada menyebut perkataan sabar sebab ada ketikanya perkataan sabar ini akan lebih menambahkan kekecewaannya.

"Sebenarnya sabar adalah perkara yang perlu dipraktikkan dalam setiap agenda kehidupan namun sabar bukanlah perkara yang mudah untuk dilakukan," terangnya.

Sebaliknya gunakan perkataan tabah, kuat, boleh dan pelbagai lagi kata-kata semangat dan motivasi.

Ceritakan kisah orang lain yang lebih menyayat hati tetapi orang tersebut mampu meneruskan kehidupan seperti biasa agar insan kecewa tadi sedar dan tahu, bukan dia sahaja yang diuji oleh Allah malah ada orang lain yang lebih teruk ujiannya dan mampu meneruskan hidup dengan ceria.

'' Minta dia lebih dekatkan diri kepada Allah dan mohon kekuatan daripada-Nya. Insya-Allah, kekecewaan akan beransur hilang walau kisah duka masih belum luput di fikiran," ujarnya.

Perkongsian di bawah bertujuan untuk berkongsi yang baik dan mengingatkan diri saya sendiri. Kita hamba Allah yang selalu melakukan kesilapan dan kita memohon pada Allah agar memberikan petunjuk dan hidayah serta dijauhkan dari seksa api neraka... insya-Allah

Bila ada syurga di dunia itu adalah rumah tangga yang bahagia, rumah tangga yang penuh dengan rasa sakinah, mawaddah dan rahmah. Dan bila ada neraka di dunia itu adalah rumah tangga yang hancur, suami isteri saling menyalahkan, curiga, tidak saling mencintai dan jauh dari rasa sakinah, mawaddah dan rahmah.

(sakinah ~ ketenteraman jiwa/hati, mawaddah ~ cinta, rahmah ~ kasih sayang)

Saya awali pesan ini dengan menggambarkan kedua hal di atas. Dengan menikah Anda tidak saja mendapat seorang isteri, tetapi Anda mendapatkan seluruh dunia. Sebagaimana kita ingat Rasulullah bersabda bahawa sebaik-baiknya perhiasan dunia adalah isteri solehah. Yang akan menjadikan rumah kita bak syurga, baiti jannati. Sejak pernikahan ini, mulai saat ini sampai akhir hayat Anda insya-Allah, isteri Anda akan menjadi mitra, partner dan sahabat terbaik.

Dengan dialah, Anda akan menghadapi pelbagai kejadian, melanjutkan usia bersama. Denganya lah Anda berbagi suka, duka, impian, harapan dan juga kecemasan. Ketika Anda sakit, dialah yang akan merawat, ketika Anda memerlukan pertolongan dia akan mengupayakan semua yang dia boleh lakukan bagimu. Ketika Anda berbagi rahsia padanya, dia akan menjaga rahsia itu dengan amanah; ketika Anda perlu nasihat, dia akan memberikan nasihat yang terbaik. Dan dia akan selalu bersamamu.

Ketika terbangun di pagi hari, yang pertama mata Anda lihat adalah dia. Dia akan selalu bersamamu, dan jika pada suatu waktu dia tidak ada di sisimu, maka secara emosi dia ada bersamamu. Dia memikirkan, berdoa untuk kebaikanmu dengan sepenuh hati, dan Anda ada dalam fikiran, doa dan hatinya. Ketika Anda tidur di malam hari, terakhir yang Anda lihat adalah dia; dan ketika Anda bermimpi, Anda akan melihatnya dalam mimpimu. Kamulah dunianya dan dialah duniamu.

Hubungan antara seorang suami isteri merupakan hubungan yang sangat penuh dengan hal yang mengkagumkan. Tidak mudah digambarkan dengan kata-kata, betapa rasa cinta, kasih sayang, keintiman, kedamaian serta ketenangan yang ada mengisi hati kedua pasangan manusia. Penjelasan rasional adalah bahawa semua ini adalah anugerah dari Allah, dan semua itulah kehendak Allah. Dengan semua kuasa dan kehendaknya, Dialah yang menciptakan dan membuat perasaan ini hadir di hati pasangan suami isteri.

Allah mengingatkan kepada manusia bahawa salah satu tanda-tanda kekuasaanNya adalah Dia menjadikan rasa kasih dan sayang. Allah s.w.t berfirman: "Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaanNya ialah Dia menciptakan untukmu isteri-isteri dari jenismu sendiri, supaya kamu cenderung dan merasa tenteram kepadanya, dan dijadikan-Nya di antaramu rasa kasih dan sayang. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda bagi kaum yang berfikir".

Tetapi hati manusia bukanlah sesuatu yang statik, tetapi sangat dinamik. Perasaan dapat berubah setiap waktu. Dan cinta pun dapat terbang dan hilang. Ikatan pernikahan pun boleh menjadi lemah bila tidak dijaga dengan baik dan kebahagiaan di dalam rumah tangga pun tidak dapat dijamin akan berlangsung terus. Perlu usaha dari kedua-dua belah pihak suami isteri untuk saling menjaga cinta dan kasih mereka. Ibarat sebuah pohon, tanahnya perlu dirawat, dijaga dan dipupuk.

Oleh kerana itu, inilah sedikit pesan dari saya bagi Anda para suami;

Di dunia kita, kita hidup di kehidupan yang sibuk dan mencabar dikelilingi oleh berbagai macam schedule dan deadline. Bagi pasangan, ini ertinya kemungkinan Anda tidak dapat meluangkan waktu bersama-sama dab berada sendiri di tengah-tengah kesibukan kerja dan komitmen tugas. Anda jangan membiarkan hal ini terjadi terus menerus. Cubalah sesekali Anda luangkan waktu untuk melakukan kegiatan dengan isteri Anda. Ingat! Rasulullah juga pernah meluangkan masa untuk berlumba lari dengan Aisyah R.A.

Keluar dengan isteri sekerap mungkin, lakukan aktiviti bersama-sama, mengunjungi kawan-kawan bersama, picnic bersama atau sekadar berbelanja di shopping mall bersama.

Selalu jaga romantik dalam hubungan Anda. Kehidupan modern hampir mengubah kita menjadi robot atau mesin teknologi tinggi tanpa emosi. Menunjukkan emosi dan perasaan yang Anda rasakan perlu untuk menjaga ikatan pernikahan terhindar dari berkarat. Sebagaimana Rasulullah bersabda: "Untuk menunjukkan rasa kasih dan sayang pada saudara yang kita cintai, Katakanlah kepadanya, kalau engkau mencintai saudaramu, sebuah hadis untuk menunjukkan cinta kepada teman kerana ikatan ukhuwah. Terlebih lagi bila isteri kita yang terikat dengan ikatan suci pernikahan, nyatakanlah".

Jangan meremehkan hal-hal penting yang terlihat kecil, seperti membawakan belanjaannya. memicit bahunya atau membukakan pintu mobil dan sebagainya. Ingatlah bahawa Rasulullah pernah menyediakan kakinya untuk membantu isteri naik ke atas unta.

Usahakanlah untuk menyediakan waktu solat berjemaah dengan isteri. Memperkuat hubungan Anda dengan Allah merupakan jaminan terbaik agar pernikahan Anda selalu terjaga kuat. Merasakan kedekatan dan kedamaian dalam hubungan Anda dengan Allah akan terimplikasi dalam hubungan Anda dengan isteri di rumah. Ingatlah bagaimana Rasulullah memberikan apresiasi yang sangat besar bagi pasangan yang bangun malam hari untuk solat tahajjud bersama atau seorang suami/isteri yang membangunkan pasangannya untuk solat sekalipun dengan memercikkan air di muka pasangannya.

Lakukan usaha terbaikmu untuk menjadi terbaik bagi isteri dengan kata-kata dan dengan perbuatan. Bicaralah padanya dengan baik, senyum padanya, minta nasihatnya, mintailah pendapatnya dan luangkan waktu yang berkualiti dengannya dan selalu ingat bahawa Rasulullah bersabda "Yang terbaik diantara kamu adalah terbaik memperlakukan isterinya".

Adalah hal biasa yang terjadi dimana pasangan berjanji untuk mencintai dan menghormati isteri/suaminya sampai maut memisahkan mereka. Saya percaya bahawa janji ini adalah baik dan sangat baik. Tetapi hal ini tidak cukup kerana Anda harus mencintai apa yang dicintai isteri Anda. Keluarganya, dan hal-hal yang dia cintai harus menjadi kecintaan Anda pula.

Tidak cukup pula mencintainya sampai maut memisahkan. Cinta tidak boleh mati dan kita percaya bahawa ada kehidupan akhirat, kehidupan setelah mati. Dan insya-Allah, akan dipertemukan kelak di akhirat. Sebagaimana Rasulullah mencintai Khadijah isterinya yang telah menemani beliau selama 25 tahun, beliau terus mencintai Khadijah dan mengingatinya. Setelah kematian Khadijah beberapa tahun berselang, Rasulullah tidak pernah melupakannya bahkan sanak kerabat dan teman Khadijah beliau utamakan yang terkadang membuat Aisyah cemburu.

Cintailah isteri Anda, dan apa yang dicintainya. Cintaila ia tidak hanya sampai maut memisahkan tetapi sampai Anda dikumpulkan bersama kelak di akhirat, insya-Allah.

Semoga nasihat atau ajakan ini dapat menambah kecintaan Anda dan kecintaan isteri Anda.

Before I got married, I was FIT. Yes, I know it's hard to believe that, but Demmit I was fit. I play sports, active socially and love really good company. Then things took a turn and almost 4 years later, I'm no longer FIT, do me a favor ladies, change the letter "I" in the word 'fit' to "A"...

What's my solution? I couldn't just go exercise, the knee and ankle problem I had still bugs me, plus I was WAAAYYY too unfit to hit the running track or gym(err.. yeah). So I started to plan in my own sweet time to loose a lil weight.

Yep, take a wild guess... my waist nipper (BOOORRIINGGG???) If you feel this, Ok GO and read someone elses blog aights... I ain't writing this for you haters! Heck, I know how UN-macho, "matcho" steroid loving guys would think about this piece of cloth... but let me tell ya something... If you have a problem, the first thing to get rid of it is to ADMIT you have a problem.

Yeah, coz most of us are still in DENIAL! Believe me, I was one.

I got family telling me, I put on weight. But what did-I-do? Nuttin...
I got friends telling me, I look a lil chubby. But what did-I-do? Nuttin...
I got my wife telling me, she likes it when I was thin. But what did-I-do? Nuttin...

Yeah! coz thing is, sometimes, changing some habits that took years to form is HARDER than you think! Then of course, I knew about the waist nipper, so I gave it a shot!

Walla, few weeks down the line...

I fit right back in!

A blind man had been waiting for a while at a busy road for someone to offer to guide him across, when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Excuse me," said the tapper. "I'm blind, would you mind guiding me across the road?"

The first blind man took the arm of the second blind man, and they both crossed the road.

Apparently this is true stroy. The first blind man was the Jazz Pianist - George Shearing. He was quoted as saying after the event, "What could I do? I took him across and it was the biggest thrill of my life!"

There are times when we think we cannot do something and so, do not stretch or take a risk. Being forced to stretch and take a risk can often help us to reduce our dependencies (on others, or our own personal safety mechanisms) and to discover new excitement and capabilities.

Business Is Great!

A landscape gardener ran a business that had been in the family for two or three generations. The staff were happy and customers loved to visit the store, or to have the staff work on their gardens or make deliveries ~ anything from bedding plants to ride-on mowers.

For as long as anyone could remember, the current owner and previous generations of owners were extremely positive happy people.

Most folk assumed it was because they ran a succesful business.

In fact it was the other way around...

A tradition in the business was that the owner always wore a big lapel badge, saying 'Business Is Great!'.

The business was indeed generally great, although it went through tough times like any other. What never changed however was the owner's attitude, and the badge saying 'Business Is Great!'.

Everyone who saw the badge for the first time invariably asked, "What's so great about business?" Sometimes people would also comment that their own business was miserable, or even that they personally were miserable or stressed.

Anyhow, the 'Business Is Great!' badge always tended to start a conversation, which typically involved the owner talking about lots of positive aspects of business and work, for example:-

* The pleasure of meeting and talking with different people everyday.
* The reward that comes from helping staff take on new challenges and experiences
* The fun and laughter in a relaxed and healthy work environment.
* The fascination in the work itself, and in other people's work and businesses.
* The great feeling when you finish a job and do it to the best of your capabilities.
* The new things you learn everyday - even without looking to do so and the thought that everyone in business is blessed -because there are millions of people who would swap their own situation to have the same opportunities of doing productive meaningful job, in a civilized well-fed country, where we have no real worries.

And so the list went on. And no matter how miserable a person was, they'd usually end up feeling a lot happier after just a couple of minutes listening to all this infectious enthusiasm and positivity.

It is impossible to quantify or measure attitude like this, but to one extent or another it's probably a self-fulfilling prophecy, on which point, if asked about the badge in a quiet moment, the business owner would confide:-

"The badge came first. The great business followed."

Rock Story

Use this time management story to show how planning is the key to time management.

Start with a bucket, some big rocks enough to fill it, some small stones, some sand and water.

Put the big rocks in the bucket ~ Is it full?

Put the small stones in around the big rocks ~ Is it full?

Put the sand in and give it a shake ~ Is it full?

Put the water in. Now, it's full

The point is: Unless we put the big rocks in first, we won't get them in at all.

In other words: Plan time-slots for our big issues before anything else, or the inevitable sand and water issues will fill up our days and we won't fit the big issues in (a big issue doesn't necessarily have to be a work task ~ It could be our child's sports-day, or a holiday).
